Free worksheet on where your time goes.
A one page time worksheet for anyone who feels busy all week and cannot point to what actually moved. Four questions, one action, and room to write. No app, no tracking, no productivity system.
Time Is
Your Edge.
Your life is built on how you spend your time
- The idea, written plainly
- Why this is not time management
- Where the hours actually go
- Four questions with room to write
- One action for this week
- Space for who will hold you to it
This is not a productivity worksheet.
There are plenty of those. Time blocking, priority matrices, systems for getting more done in a day. Most of them work fine and none of them ask the question that actually matters.
A fuller schedule was never the goal. A packed calendar often just means you have become very efficient at spending time on things that matter less than you think.
This sheet asks where your time is actually going and whether that is the life you meant to be building. It takes about fifteen minutes and it works on its own. You do not need to have read anything first.
The four questions.
- If someone looked at your calendar from last week, what would they say your priorities are?
- Where are you present versus merely available with the people who matter most?
- What are you telling yourself you will do later, and what changes if later is gone?
- What is one ordinary moment you would give anything to have back?
The second one catches most people. Being present is not the same as being available, and you can sit in the right room for two hours and give none of them.
The fourth is the one that changes behavior. Everything else on the sheet is analysis. That one is a reminder that the ordinary days are the ones you end up wanting back.
Use it on your own or with a team.
If you feel permanently busy
Busy all week, nothing moved. This finds the hours you cannot currently account for without making you track anything.
If someone said you are never really there
The presence question is the one to sit with, and it is worth answering honestly before somebody has to say it twice.
If you lead people
Run it with a team. The calendar question in a room full of people produces conversations a survey never will.
For coaches and teachers
Free to copy and print for a class, a team, or a group. No permission needed and no attribution required.
You do not need more time. You need to stop assuming you have it.
