The Team
Playbook.

Performance · Mindset · Resilience

Six modules, one session, and no preparation required. Built so any coach, captain, manager, or team lead can walk a room through the six areas that decide how a group performs when it matters.

The Six Modules

What you
walk through.

Both versions cover the same ground in the same order. Read the concept out loud, ask the questions, let people write, then have each person name one action before you move on.

01

Own Your Game

Performance

Nobody rises on excuses. Full ownership of preparation, effort, and response, which are the things inside your control. Blame is comfortable. Ownership is powerful.

02

Train the Inner Voice

Mindset

The loudest voice in any room is your own, and under pressure it either steadies you or sinks you. You cannot outperform the story you tell yourself.

03

Break the Comfort Ceiling

Performance

Growth lives just past comfortable. Most teams quietly cap themselves the moment things get hard enough to matter. Comfort is a slow leak.

04

Bounce Forward

Resilience

Resilience is not surviving a loss. It is coming back sharper because of it. The teams that last get fluent at recovering fast.

05

Truth Over Praise

Culture

Praise feels good. Truth makes you better. Strong teams build enough trust to give and take honest feedback without egos getting in the way.

06

Leave It Better

Leadership

The final measure is the standard you left behind and the people you lifted. Leadership is not a title, it is a decision anyone can make today.

How to Run It

One session,
sixty to seventy five minutes.

Or take one module at a time, before practice or at the start of a weekly meeting. Everyone gets their own copy to write in as you go.

01

Read it out loud

The concept takes about a minute. That is all the teaching there is.

02

Ask, and go first

Let the room answer honestly. You answer first, and answer for real.

03

Let them write

A moment of quiet on the page. This is where the honest answers show up.

04

One action each

Everyone names one thing before you move to the next module.

Set the Rules First

Phones down. Everyone speaks. No rank in the room, and the newest person’s answer counts as much as the most senior one. What is said here stays here.

Then close strong. Each person names a personal standard, the group agrees on one the whole team holds, and you set a date to check back. A standard with no follow up is just a nice conversation.

Better people make better teammates. They win more, bounce back faster, and hold a higher standard.

Four ready-to-run formats built on the same ten concepts. Every one is free, every one comes with the words to say and the questions to ask, and you do not need Chris in the room to use any of them.
